She was predeceased by : her parents, Kenneth Smith and Lena Smith (Boyer); her husband Donald L. Atwater Sr.; her children, Donald L. Atwater Jr. and Julie; and her brothers, Jack Smith (Judy) and Jim Smith.

She is survived by : her daughters, Lisa Baker and Danielle Preisch (Michael); her siblings, Kenneth Smith and Donna Weir (Late-Terrence); and her grandchildren, Codey Baker-Durst (Amanda), Colton Baker-Durst, Corey Baker-Durst, Samantha Jane Preisch and Cole Michael Preisch. She is also survived by 5 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Donations can be made in her name to Niagara Hospice House 4675 Sunset Dr. Lockport, NY 14094.
