He was predeceased by: his parents, James Pilhorn and Dotha Pilhorn (Hulshoff); his wife Susan Pilhorn (Elson); and his siblings, Carl, James Pilhorn and Patricia Tomarno.
He is survived by: his children, Kelly Pietrzykowski, Gary Pilhorn (Christine) and Daniel Pilhorn (April); his grandchildren, Kristi Cialone (Jordan), Kiana, Zachary, Alexis Starke (Ethan), Brayden, Elora and Elizabeth; his great grandchildren, Jase, Kya, Kali and Emelia; and his sister Brenda Kazynski (Paul). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
