We bid farewell to John H. Snyder of Newport, New York, born in Herkimer, New York, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on May 10, 2025 at the age of 86. John touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his siblings, William Snyder and Ellen (Winston Burt). He is survived by: his wife Beth; his children, John B. Snyder (Diana) of Santa Fe, NM, Kathleen Esty of Newport, Amy Snyder (Bruce Perl) of Varysburg and Timothy Snyder (Jennifer) of Newport; his brother Edward "Ned" Snyder (Nora) of East Aurora; his sister-in-law Karen Billman of Saratoga Springs; his grandchildren, John B., Mary Louise, Emily (Wesley), Abigail Parker (Duncan), Sarah, Devin, Lindsay, Andrew and Neil; and his great grandchild Arthur. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers please take your friends out for a round of golf, a drink and game of cards, or consider donating to the Kuyahoora Valley Rotary Club, PO BOX 558, Newport NY, 13416, Envelopes are available at the funeral home.

“I’ll always remember being tucked away on the top of a hill in Miller Park, thinking I was on the best, and only, deer trail in the area. Hearing noise I was on high alert expecting a big buck! Moments later John emerged having climbed up the steep side of the hill, not a small task. He was the only buck I saw that day. He will always be remembered as a person with a passion for fishing, hunting and friendship! My condolences to family and friends.”
