He is survived by: his son Russell Wheeler (Karen) of Atlanta, Georgia.; and his sisters, Nancy Sims of Oklahoma, Carolyn Cline (Gary) of Kansas and Brenda Pergrim (Charles) of New York. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
