Cecelia (Stercz) Podsiadlo Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death Cecelia (Stercz) Podsiadlo, a longtime resident of Niagara Falls, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 5, 2014. She was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on August 31, 1928, the daughter of Stanley and Stephanie Stercz. She attended Canadian schools. She is the beloved wife of Frank Podsiadlo; dearest mother of Gary Podsiadlo (Nancy Bonczkiewicz) of Charlotte, NC and Frances Podsiadlo of Niagara Falls; sisters, Stella Podsiadlo (late Edmund) of Eggertsville; Josie Kopacz (late Joseph) of Toronto; brother in law, Edwin Podsiadlo (late Dorothy) and sister in law, Julia (late Michael) Gawoski and many special nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four sisters, Jenny Gach; Lottie Konopski; Helen Socha and Mary Gregorasz. Cecelia enjoyed taking care of her family and the home she made to look like an English garden and cottage. Friends may call Wednesday (today) from 4-8 PM in the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue, where prayers will be said Thursday 9:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. John de LaSalle R.C. Church. The entombment will be private at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Town of Lewiston. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Niagara County S.P.C.A. Lockport, New York
