He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Channell and Beatrice Channell; his wife Sharon Channell (Hamilton); his sisters, Willowdean, Merlene, Jeannine and Carol; and his grandson Troy Channell of Salisbury, MD..
He is survived by: his pet Rudy; his children, David Channell of Energy and Kristin Mackenzie (Mark Moore) of North Tonawanda, NY.; his grandchildren, Kathryn Mackenzie and Aaron Mackenzie; and his great grandchildren, Hunter, Skylar and Milo. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
