He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude C. Godwin and Luvenia K. Godwin (Gilchrist); his former wife Dolores Godwin (Guth); his wife Eleanor Godwin (Russo); his siblings, Glennie Holloway (late Leon) and Charlie Godwin (late Ruth); and his stepson Matthew Russo (Marie).
He is survived by: his children, Marty Godwin (Christa), Donna Lamb (Ray, Jr.) and David Godwin (Diane); his stepson Tony Russo (Doreen); his grandchildren, Bailey Lekanka (Michael), Aubrey Godwin (Mark Eberz), Katherine Zuba (Dan), Ray Lamb III (Lauren), Cody Godwin (Rachel Denver), Gina Godwin, Adam Wright, Marissa Shanley (Kyle) and Joshua Wright (Amanda Cox); his great grandchildren, Micah, Ethan, Joseph, Julian, Max, Nina, Jay and Cal; and his great great grandchild Isla. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
