He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Esther Masters; his children, John Masters, Melissa Masters Brinson and Kevin Masters; his adoptive children, Andre and Candace Masters; his grandchildren, Joel, Paul, Colin, Diana Brinson and Leela Masters; his parents, James Masters and Gertrude Masters; and his siblings, Robert (late Shirley), Ronald (Nancy), Ann, James (Joan) and Kathleen Masters (Kevin Coffey).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of David may be made to Niagara Hospice.
