She was predeceased by: her parents, Emil Mendel and Anna Mendel (Roth); her husband Walter Beck; and her siblings, Ida Hoppe, Anne Payne, Fritz, Carl Michel and Emil Mendel.

She is survived by: her children, Ursula Strong, Walter M. Beck (Peggy), Joseph Beck, Susan Owens (Stephen) and Leonard J. Beck (Anna); her sister-in-law Charlotte Beck; and her grandchildren, Davin Strong, Christine Beck, David Beck, Teresa Jones, Stephen Beck, Jason, Emily, Joshua Owens, Michael Beck, Gabrielle and Benjamin Bongiovanni. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials if desired, may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Niagara Hospice, Inc. The family wishes to express their deepest appreciation to Niagara Hospice, Inc., especially Gloria for her diligent help and support.
