He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold L. Schmidt and Helen T. Schmidt (Zapotosky); and his son Paul K. Schmidt. He is survived by: his wife Ann J. Schmidt (Swann); and his children, David F. Schmidt (Francine) and Judith A. Amentia (Richard). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
