With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gerald Jonathan (Niagara Falls, New York), born in Buffalo, New York, who passed away on November 29, 2020 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Genevieve Jonathan (Reitz) and Edmund Jonathan; his grandparents, Edith (Hill) and Edward Jonathan; his wife Lorraine Hewitt (Bear Clan); and his sister Muriel "Betty" (late Duane).

He is survived by: his children, Lori Norton (Tom), Chief Tom Jonathan (Angela), Vicki Garcia (Ivan), Crystal Jonathan and Grant Jonathan; his grandchildren, Desiree, Lindsey, Nicole, Derek, Danielle, Dylan, Lily, Nathan and Jenna Rose; his great grandchildren, Meadow, Halia, Jaren, River, Ashton, Dawson and Dalias; his great great grandchild Malia; his sister Louann Blackwell (late Les); and his friend Janet Sillaway. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.

Due to the rising incidents of COVID-19 in Western New York and to COVID-19 restrictions, there will be no prior visitation.

Memorials may be made in his name to the Tuscarora Baptist Church.
