He was predeceased by: his parents, James Guthrie and Mabel Hope (late Vernon); and his siblings, James Guthrie, Roger Guthrie, Nancy Guthrie, Wayne Guthrie and Gerald Guthrie.
He is survived by: his wife Valerie Anne Guthrie (Villont); his children, Howard P. Guthrie, Jr. (Judy) and Lori Eberhart (Art); his grandchildren, Howard P. Guthrie III, Jennifer Hoyt (Don), Anthony Guthrie (Tabitha), Sam Guthrie, Michael Eberhart, Stephen Eberhart (Kammi) and Nicole Faltisco (Nicholas); his great grandchildren, Trey, Peyton, Mia, Oliver, Rose, Allison, Natalie, Kiera, Juliana, Vance, Camden, William, Sienna, Isabella and Lilianna; and his sister Margaret Villont (James). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to Niagara Hospice.
