She was predeceased by: her parents, W. Ransom Rice and Viola Rice (Proudfoot); her husband John'Jack'R. Phelps; her former husband James Bazemore; her brother Reverend W. Ransom Rice, Jr. (Sue Rice); her great grandchild Aiden Casale; and her stepdaughters, Ellen Rowland and Lorna Phelps.
She is survived by: her children, Wendi Bazemore (Bill Mattrey), Daniel Bazemore (Karen), Timothy Bazemore (Lisa) and Jonathan Bazemore (Patrice Wolfe); her stepdaughter Sandra Fischbein (Paul); her brother Charles Rice (Mary); her grandchildren, Leah, Heather, Geoffrey, Alexandria, Gabrielle, Tyler, Luke, Jemma and Nathaniel; and her stepgrandchildren, John, William, Margaret, Joel and Samantha. She is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren, 6 step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 27th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Otto Redanz Funeral Home (2215 Military Rd, Niagara Falls, NY 14304).
In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to First Presbyterian Church in Lewiston and/or Pinnacle Community Services in Niagara Falls.
