He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Calaty and Angela Calaty (Bongiovanni); and his wife Katherine Laurri (Kay). He is survived by: his children, Carol Calato, Joseph Calato (Barbara) and Cathy Calato-Stephens (Gordon); his grandchildren, Joseph Calato, Jesse Calato (Jennifer), Nicholas Calato (Melody), Chantal Calato Bachowski (David), Rocco Calato (Christine), Angelo Calato and Michelle Calato-Carrier (Matthew); and his great grandchildren, Deanna, Aaron, Alex, Samantha, Max, Mia (Kenan), Domenic, Izzi, Elle and Antoinette. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial offerings may be made to the Niagara County S.P.C.A or Niagara Hospice.
