Loretta V. Downie Obituary
We are sad to announce that on June 11, 2025, Loretta V. Downie of Niagara Falls, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Rocco DeMiglio and Frances DeMiglio (Pignatore); her husband Joseph L. Downie; and her sisters, Agatha Lucatra (late Michael) and Sarah Gloria DeMiglio.
She is survived by: her children, Roxanne Welsh (Timothy) and Joseph C. Downie (Sharon); her grandchildren, Jennifer Downie, Ryan Welsh, Sarah Welsh, Nicholas Downie (Briana) and Julie Downie; her great grandchildren, Rebakah, Josephine, Gabriel and Noah; and her siblings, Anthony DeMiglio (late Antoinette), Ann Barry (John) and Mary Ann Ventry (late Steven). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the M. J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel (2730 Military Rd, Niagara Falls, NY 14304). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 at 10:15 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. John de LaSalle Church (8469 Buffalo Ave, Niagara Falls, NY 14304).
