With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mario J. Basso of Niagara Falls, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 7, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Mario Basso and Lucy Basso (DeSantis); and his wife Marie A. Basso (Meyers). He is survived by: his children, Joseph Basso (Colleen), Robert Basso, Lisa Smith (Robert), Jeanne Miller (Arvind), Scott Benton (Jackie) and Brian Benton (Erika); his grandchildren, Joseph, Anthony, Nickolas, Heather, Gabriella, Stewert, Abram, Justine, Jessica, Josie, Jamie Lea, Lindsay, Shelby and Lauren; his great grandchildren, Alexxa, Kyler, Sophia, Mercedes, Giana, Frankie, Avaya, Leighland, Kolson and Navy; and his sister Joann Whitehead. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
