She was predeceased by: her parents, Rafael Rivera and Maria Rivera (Davila); and her brother Rafin Rivera. She is survived by: her husband Victor R. Samalot; her children, Maydee Cooper (Pastor Christopher), Humberto Samalot (Susan) and Ivan Samalot (Darlene); her grandchildren, Tony Samalot (Maria), Justin Cooper (Maryissa), Victoria Tuttle (Erik), Deannaca Grimm-Tuitama (Maui), Alyssa Hershberger (Wes), Andrew Samalot (MacKenzie) and Nathan; and her great grandchildren, Samantha, Katie, Joscelin, Blake, Gabriel, Landon, Josephine, Kylee, Hailie, Grace, Liam, Riggsin, Quinn, Owen, Orion, Aria and Leilei. She is also survived by great-grandchild, and two nieces and a nephew.
