Pasquale Accetta Obituary
Pasquale "Pat" "Knobs" Accetta, 87, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2026, at Schoellkopf Health Care Facility. Born in Niagara Falls, he was the son of the late Frank and Constance (Borelli) Accetta.
Knobs or Pat, as he was affectionately known by his family and friends, was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls and a proud graduate of Trott Vocational High School. On June 14, 1963, he married his loving wife, Sandy (Neville) Accetta at St. John de LaSalle Church, and together they raised their three beloved children.
Pat was employed for many years by the Carborundum Company prior to his retirement. He enjoyed watching sports, playing poker, and tending to his gardens. Above all, he treasured the time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchild.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the entire staff of Schoellkopf Health Care Facility, especially the dedicated team on the Third Floor, for their love, compassion, and exceptional care.
In addition to his wife, Sandy, of 63 years, Pat is survived by their children, Patrick (Debbie) Accetta, Ret. NFFD, Theresa Accetta and Michael (Nicole) Accetta, Ret. Capt. NFFD; four grandchildren, Danny Fitzpatrick, Lauren Lee, Cole Accetta and Carys Accetta; his great-grandson, Kaden Lee; one sister, Helen Cowell; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by seven sisters, Rose (late Sam) D'Angelo, Vincenette (late George) Kostyo, Catherine (late Ruben) Burns, Jeanette (late Bill) Miller, Mary (late Art) Agnello, Constance (late Bert) Heksch and Frances (late Matthew) Bernat and two brothers, James Accetta and Frank Accetta.
Family and friends are welcome to attend Pat's Memorial Mass on Monday, September 21 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph's Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY.
