He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Waney and Ethel Waney (Pfeiffer); and his siblings, Paul, Lorraine Davis (late Charles) and Douglas Waney.

He is survived by: his wife Carol A. Lozinsky; his children, Michael Waney (Kelly) and Michelle Waney; his grandchildren, Joshua, Taylor, Emma, Sophia and Finnegan Waney; his pet Maizy; and his sister Beverley Porter (Ronald). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to Parkinson's Boxing, LLC, 2852 Delaware Avenue, Kenmore, NY 14217 and/or Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094.
