She was predeceased by : her husband Richard F. Slater, Sr.; her parents, John Nye and Helen Nye (Morse); her siblings, Doris Dutton, Lucille Westover, Eleanor Goodwin, Marylou Crownshield, Ken Nye and Donald Nye; and her granddaughter Dawn Nichols.
She is survived by : her children, Richard Jr. (Rose Slater), James Arthur (Laura Slater), David (Linda Slater), Sharon (Bob Snedeker), Eric Slater (Scott Siwicki), Teresa Cluff and Judson (Ann Howe); her grandchildren, Andrew, Sarah Slater, Jamie Mendelis, Joe Slater, Melissa, Ashley Slater, Steven, Samantha, Rebekah Snedeker, Jason, Kyle Howe, Doug, Bob, Greg and Stephanie Nichols; her brother Gerald "Buster" Nye; her sister-in-law Linda Slater; and also Bobby Harris.
