We are sad to announce that, on December 23, 2025, at the age of 77, Alan W. Holmes of Niskayuna, New York, born in Pittsfield, Massachusetts passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, David Holmes and Vera Holmes; and his brother-in-law Bruce Osterhout. He is survived by: his wife Carol (Osterhout); his sons, Kevin (Jessica) of Niskayuna and Gary (Amy) of Glenville; his grandchildren, Maggie, Charlie and Riley; his sister-in-law Janet Osterhout; and his nephew Brian Osterhout.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Niskayuna Reformed Church 3041 Troy-Schenectady RdNiskyuna NY 12309.
