He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Read and Jane Read (Norton); and his brother John Read (Carolyn Moyer Read). He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Read (Scaduto); his children, Michael Read (Alyssa) of Saratoga Springs, NY and Elizabeth Hennessey (Jared) of Vienna, VA; his grandchildren, Hailey, Henry Read, Ethan and Natalie Hennessey; and his siblings, Jane Drake (Donald), Doug Read (Connie) and Susan Read. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and close friends.

In honor of Dave's wishes, and his love of sports, donations in his memory can be made to The V Foundation for Cancer Research.
