He was predeceased by: his parents, Angelo "Red" Cannizzo and Martha Cannizzo; and his wife Amy. He is survived by: his children, Debbie DeCelle (Danny), Tom Cannizzo (Edie), Kim DeNovio (Brad) and Mike Cannizzo (Jill); his grandchildren, Nick DeCelle (Meredith), Stephanie Nelson (Eric), TJ Cannizzo, Jen Ambrose (Jim), Emily Rose (Jesse), Matt DeNovio, McCauley Cannizzo, Mikey Cannizzo and Kyle Cannizzo (Maria Walker); and his great grandchildren, Cecilia, Natalie DeCelle, Daniella, Edward Nelson, Dallas Carter Kaushal, Evan, Ava Ambrose, Jude, Freya Rose and Luca Cannizzo. He is also survived by many cousins, friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes (628 N Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Paul the Apostle Church (2777 Albany St, Schenectady, NY 12304). A burial was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at the St. Cyril & Method Cemetery (611 Duanesburg Rd, Rotterdam, NY 12306).
