Janet Goot Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Janet Goot of Niskayuna, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 14, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Janet leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Schaaff and Catherine McDermott Schaaff; and her brother Robert Schaaff. She is survived by: her son Michael Joseph Goot; her husband Donald Asa Goot; her daughter-in-law Katie; her grandson Alexander; and her sister Catherine Reed (Donald). She is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
