He was predeceased by: his parents, Sylvester Lavigne and Bernice Casselman Lavigne; and his brothers, Lloyd (Beaner), Robert (Bob) and Kenneth Lavigne (Kenny).

He is survived by: his wife Rita Lavigne; his children, Cheryl Lavigne (Drew Davis), Sue (John Connell), Natalie, Thomas Fiacco (Buddy) and Doug (Kat Lavigne); his grandchildren, Chad Thornton, Thomas, Paige Fiacco, Jenna, Ryan Harris, Sarah Lavigne, Joe Capuano and Erica Lavigne; his grandfather Butch; his great grandchild Weston Fiacco; and his siblings-in-law, Barbara Lavigne and Lloyd King. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
