He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Mendat and Patricia Lietzow; his wife Debra LaValley Mendat; and his sister Dawn Mendat. He is survived by: his sons, Michael Mendat Jr. (Sarah Fox) of North Rose and Nick Mendat (Amanda McQuarrie) of North Rose; his siblings, Debbie Mendat, Diane Mendat-Scalia (Joe), Mark Mendat and Matt Mendat; his grandchildren, Kylee, Alyssa, Hudson, Landon, Oliveah and Ori; and his great grandchildren, Myles and Mia. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends.
