He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward E. Brown and Mary Brown (Noonan); his wife Mary Jean Hand; and his siblings, Ida Roche, James Brown and Thomas Brown.

He is survived by: his sons, Andrew (Andrea Brown), Gregory (Monica Brown) and Christopher Brown of Stevensville, MI; and his sister-in-law Sheila Brown. He is also survived by his seven grandchildren: Three great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
