Edward H. Kowalewski Obituary
In loving memory of Edward H. Kowalewski (North Syracuse, New York), who departed this world on May 31, 2025 at the age of 88. Edward leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Anna Kowalewski and Walter Kowalewski; his siblings, Irene Kowalewski, Helen Modzelewski, Stella Kushin, Jennie Tyminski and Michael Kowalewski; his nephew Kevin Kushin; his niece Cheryl Tyminski; his great-niece Krissy Abruzzese; and his great-nephews, John Kushin and Christopher Kushin.
He is survived by: his wife Josephine Kowalewski (Iannone); his daughters, Kimberly Martin (Randy) of Potsdam and Kristen Procopio (Christopher) of North Syracuse; his granddaughter Alyssa Bush (Stephen); his daughters, Lindsey Hoey (Ryan) and Stella Procopio; his stepgranddaughters, Kylee and Lily Bush; his siblings-in-law, James Iannone (Gail) of Williamsville and Frances Westerman (Christopher) of Estero, Florida; his great-nephew Michael Abruzzese; and his nieces, Kathy Abruzzese and Janet Cormier. He is also survived by many cousins, several nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews and close friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Thomas J. Pirro Jr. Funeral Home (3401 Vickery Rd, Syracuse, NY 13212). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Rose of Lima Church (409 S Main St, North Syracuse, NY 13212).
