Gary S. Zimmer Sr. Obituary
With sadness, we share the passing of Gary S. Zimmer Sr. of North Syracuse, New York. Gary, born on March 15, 1941, passed away on September 9, 2026. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Gary S. Zimmer Sr. to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin N. Zimmer Sr. and Coletta Mae Zimmer; and his brother Melvin Zimmer, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Zimmer; his children, Kimberly Zimmer, Gary Zimmer, Jr. (Linda), Bradley Zimmer and Jamieson Zimmer (Dawn); and his grandchildren, Gary Zimmer III (Karla), Danielle Magovney (Brian), Cody Zimmer (Caitlyn), Amber Zimmer, Alyssa Zimmer, Nick Nelson, Carter Zimmer and Delanie Zimmer. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Thomas J. Pirro Jr. Funeral Home (3401 Vickery Rd, Syracuse, NY 13212). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Margaret's Church (200 Roxboro Rd, Mattydale, NY 13211). A burial was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at the Assumption Cemetery (2401 Court St, Syracuse, NY 13208).
