He was predeceased by: his parents, William A. Battes and Dorothy P. Battes. He is survived by: his wife Charlotte; his sons, Brett and Craig Battes; his stepchildren, Jeremy Munroe (Teal), Heather Oeinck (Bobby), Suzanne Furcinito-Edwards (Keith) and Jo-Anne Furcinito-Richardson (Justin); his grandchildren, Cherish, Faye, D'Ante, Kylee, Greyson, Maverick and Penny; his sister Leda Linderman; and his nephew Todd Linderman.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the New Comer Cremations & Funerals (705 N Main St, Syracuse, NY 13212). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the North Syracuse Cemetery (555 S Bay Rd, North Syracuse, NY 13212).
