It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan M. Whiting (North Syracuse, New York), who passed away on April 30, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Warren and Mildred Berry (Morgan); and her husband Deacon Donald Whiting. She is survived by: her children, Mark Whiting (Pamela) of Watertown, Scott B. Whiting of Brewerton and Melissa Anderson (David); her grandchildren, Kimberly Oles, Kristi Brubaker, Kelly Whiting, Ali Kascsak, Missy Whiting, Angela Guerra, Sierra Whiting, Emily Pitts, Carl Anderson and Mark Anderson; and her great grandchildren, Neva Oles, Corbin Oles, Rowan Guerra, Lillian Pitts, Charlotte Pitts and Riley Anderson.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in Joan's memory be made to Hospice of CNY, 990 7th North St., Liverpool, NY 13090, where she volunteered for nearly 25 years.
