He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward W. Garrad and Bernice VanNorstrand. He is survived by: his stepdaughters, Rene Deemer and Rachel Reals (Brian Snyder); his grandchildren, Austin Reals, Aiden Snyder (Lillian Boberg) and Joseph Deemer III; his siblings, Edward Garrad (Barb Garrad) and Debra Pickard (Edward Pickard); his nephew Tom Garrad; his niece Gretchen Lunkenheimer-Minotti (Mike Minotti); and his close friend Richard Naples.
