Alan W. Koban Obituary
We announce the death of Alan W. Koban of North Tonawanda, New York, who passed away on September 23, 2026, at the age of 77. Alan will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Koban and Nora Koban of Niagara Falls; and his brother Richard Koban. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Koban; his children, Matthew Koban (Jamie) and Kelly Downes (Colin); his grandchildren, Camden, Adelynne, Grayson and Gryffin; and his siblings, Thomas Koban (Mary) and Kenneth Koban (Tarcela). He is also survived by many other family members and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Fretthold Funeral Home (1241 Oliver St, North Tonawanda, NY 14120). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Our Lady of Czestochowa Roman Catholic Church (64 Center Ave, North Tonawanda, NY 14120).
