He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Raymond, Esther Getz, Ernie and Ruth LaBelle; his mother Maureen Misko (LaBelle); and his son Adam Getz.

He is survived by: his son Jonathan Loefke (Getz); his father David Getz; and his siblings, Sheryl Banas (Gary), Jeffery Getz, Michelle Bentley (Dave), Meaghan Getz (Eric), Shaunna Getz, Joshua Getz (Jenny) and Shannon Getz. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
