Daune Quast Obituary
We are sad to announce that on October 4, 2025, at the age of 92, Daune Quast of North Tonawanda, New York passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Daune Quast to pay them a last tribute.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Daune is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Daune's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Hodgins and Mary [Corrigan] Hodgins; and her husband Melvin L. Quast. She is survived by: her sons, Rick (Nancy) and Randy Quast (Deb); and her grandchildren, Jon Quast (Jen), Becky Vail (Brian) and Haley Quast. She is also survived by ten great grandchildren, also many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Rhoney Funeral Home, Inc. (5893 Hoover Rd, Sanborn, NY 14132-9215). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Paul's United Church of Christ (3921 Mapleton Rd, North Tonawanda, NY 14120).
Memorials may be made in her name to St. Paul's UCC.
