James L. Birke Obituary
With sadness, we share the passing of James L. Birke of North Tonawanda, New York. James, born on July 10, 1938, passed away on August 13, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon Birke and Norma Birke (Hoffman); his wife Eleanor T. Birke; and his son Nicholas Birke. He is survived by: his children, Cynthia Gorko (late Robert), Deborah Birke and Gregory Birke (Pamela); his grandchildren, Alexander, Victoria (Richard), Eric (Alexandra), Timothy (Maria), Kenneth (Rachel) and Rachel (Jonathan); his great grandchildren, Griffin, Graham, Jesse, Hannah, Daniel, Cecilia and Bailey; his brother Robert Birke; and his siblings-in-law, Delphine Danitz (Richard) and Leon Wojnowski (Mary). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces/nephews, and many friends.
