In loving memory of Ruth Lorenz of North Tonawanda, New York, who departed this world on July 17, 2025 at the age of 94. Ruth leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Though Ruth may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Ruth touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Pontlitz and Stephanie Pontlitz; her husband Gerard Lorenz; her son Gregory Lorenz Lorenz (Deborah Smith) of North Tonawanda, NY.; and her brothers, Raymond Pontlitz (Carol) and Rodney Pontlitz (Mary) of North Tonawanda.
She is survived by: her son Geoffrey Lorenz (Larry Dietrich) of Lauderhill, FL; her grandson Benjamin Lorenz (Amber) of Kenmore, NY; and her great grandchildren, Brielle and Nate Lorenz.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church (65 Main St, North Tonawanda, NY 14120).
