With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Elizabeth Schmitt of Northport, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 23, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Lockwood and Elizabeth Lockwood; and her siblings, Henry Lockwood and Eileen Feehan. She is survived by: her husband Peter Schmitt; her children, Peter Schmitt (Kathy), Michael Schmitt (Eileen), Elizabeth Longden, Marybeth Schmitt-Simotas (Alex) and Patricia Decrescenzo; her grandchildren, Michael Schmitt Jr., Kyle Smith (Leah), Rosemary (Smith), Miles (Johnny), Olivia Smith, Katy (Schmitt), Ritter (Gray), Justin Schmitt, Ian Longden, Jillian Schmitt, Roman Decrescenzo, Jane Longden, Bridget Longden and Chloe Decrescenzo; her great grandchildren, Isla Smith and Jack Miles; and her traditional Christian.
