With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Evelyn C. Garcia of Northport, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 2, 2026 at the age of 85. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Arthur G. Garcia; her sons, Bill Ficken (Vicky), Raymond Ficken, Michael Ficken (Monica) and Marc Ficken; her grandchildren, Marc, Lexi, Kyla Ficken, Aidan and William Ficken; her brother Raymond Schortemeier (Jeanette); and her nephew Raymond Schortemeier (Missy).
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 5th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Nolan Funeral Home, Inc. (5 Laurel Ave, Northport, NY 11768). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 6th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, March 6th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Green-Wood Cemetery (500 25th St, Brooklyn, NY 11232).
