She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Smith and Anna Smith; and her husband Henry. She is survived by: her children, Linda Rose (Hal Blades) of Hadley, David Balkema (Jennifer) of Conway, MA. and Daniel Balkema (Anne) of Germany; her grandchildren, Albert, Scott, Amy Ackerman, Max, Theo, Conner and Megan Balkema; and her great grandchildren, Albert IV, Ossian and Alice.
