He is survived by: his wife Patricia Patterson; his children, Edward Patterson, Kathleen Smyth and Sean Patterson; his children-in-law, Tara Patterson, Dennis Smyth and Anaida Patterson; his grandchildren, Kelli, Michael, Robert, Crystal, Shannon, Megan, Kevin, Melanie, Liam and Erin; his great grandchildren, Gabriella, Chloe, Emma and E. J. Dear; and his sister Ann Davitt.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals, Inc. (28 Eltingville Blvd, Staten Island, NY 10312). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the St Thomas the Apostle Church (50 Maguire Ave, Staten Island, NY 10309).
