He was predeceased by: his son David Jr.; his son-in-law DJ Moniere; and his parents, Phillip Monroe and Eleanor Monroe (Deon). He is survived by: his wife Tammy; his children, Eleanor "Ellie" Moniere (Norwood), Heaven (Brian Simons), Rebecca Monroe (Seth) of Massena, Brad "BJ" (Kaye Sharlow) and Jody Rousaw; his grandchild Avery Sharlow (Derek); and his children, Kylie, Brittany Pensinger, Briel Moniere (Zachary), Cheyann Moniere (Brett), Makiah Moniere (Joey), Brendan Bombard (Starr), Jo-Jo Rousaw and Charlotte Simons. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren and nine siblings and many nieces and nephews.
