We are sad to announce that on August 4, 2025, at the age of 93, Harvey Forman Sr. of Nyack, New York, born in Suffolk, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the echoes of fond remembrance, may a sense of peace be found, knowing that the memories held dear will continue to shape and inspire his loved ones, keeping Harvey's spirit alive in the hearts and actions of family and friends alike. While his presence may be gone, his impact lives on in the kindness shown to others and the joy found in the ordinary moments of life.
He was predeceased by: his son Harvey "Captain" Forman Jr. (Nona A.); and his parents, Joseph N. Forman and Silone Forman (Myrick). He is survived by: his children, Gerald Forman (NJ), Bruce "Tony" Forman (Hildegard) and Alison Forman (NY). He is also survived by seven grandchildren, twelve great- grandchildren, as well as a host of family and friends.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hannemann Funeral Home (88 S Broadway, Nyack, NY 10960). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Hannemann Funeral Home, Inc. (88 S Broadway, Nyack, NY 10960). A repast will be held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Macedonia Baptist Church (405 Piermont Ave, Piermont, NY 10968).
