He is survived by: his wife Dorothea Oliver (Anne); his children, Kim (Vanessa), Howard IV (Patricia) and Patrick (Alethia); his grandchildren, Alexis (John) and Christopher; and his great grandchildren, Avery and Jayce. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Howard A. Pierson Scholarship Fund in his memoriam.
