He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Summers and Lula Slater Summers; his wife Myrna Roush Summers; and his sister Nancy Jane Neale. He is survived by: his children, Herb Summers (Dana), Beth Scroger (Kevin), Betsy Riexinger (Darrin), John A. Summers (Christy) and Judy Zeeb; his grandchildren, Adam Riexinger (Heather), Holly Scroger (Pat), Katie Perkins (Andrew), Amy Kroll (Kevin), Melanie Nichols (James), Christina Harmon (Tim), Jeremy Summers (Genevieve), Amanda Zeeb, Tommy Zeeb, Alex Summers, Michael Summers and Mason Summers; his sister Ruth Pangallo; and his brother-in-law Jack Neale. He is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; his brother.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association of Western New York, American Heart Association or American Diabetes Association.
