He was predeceased by: his brother Edward Teta; and his son-in-law Jason Vitale. He is survived by: his wife Jane (Hanlon); his children, Jennifer Vitale and David; his daughter-in-law Leigh (DeProspo); and his granddaughters, Juliet Teta and Katherine Vitale.
His family has asked for donations to St. Jude's Children's Hospital be made in his name as a way of continuing his commitment to bettering the lives of children. (https://www.stjude.org).
