He was predeceased by: his mother Frances Huffman Goodwin (Newman); his brother John Richard Goodwin; and his stepfather Rexford Newman. He is survived by: his father James Goodwin; his granddaughter Julie Bloome; his children, Mike Goodwin (Jodie Vargas) of Burdett, NY, Ivy Darawa of Florida, Rexford Goodwin of South Carolina, Lorie Schultz (Peter) of Florida and James Goodwin of South Carolina; his grandchildren, Allison, Gregory, Jonathan, Erin, David, Cheryl, Andre and Chelsea; his sister-in-law Patricia Goodwin; his nephews, Christopher, William and James; and also, Kim Bloome (Chris) of Liverpool, NY and Jen Forbes (David Weller) of Lansing, NY.. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
