It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara J. Rascoe of Ogdensburg, New York, who passed away on November 16, 2025, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert and Violet Mattice (Pike); her son Joseph Rascoe; her brothers, Randy Hitsman, Douglas Mattice and Robert Mattice; and her siblings-in-law, Robert "Bob" Hankins and Liz Mattice.

She is survived by: her husband Gerald Rascoe; her children, Daniel Rascoe of Ogdensburg, Anna Rascoe of LaFargeville, Mary Ferrick (Shaun) of DeKalb Junction and Bev Martin (Curtis Hall) of Gouverneur; her grandchildren, Gavin, Julian, Amayah, Jon, Amelia, Sadie and Miles; her brother Albert "Gus" Mattice; her sister-in-law Linda Szasz of Michigan; her siblings, Scott Hitsman (Nancy Mandigo) of Depeyster, Linda Hankins of Morristown and Brenda Mattice-Thurman (Dan) of Rochester; and her sisters-in-law, Melanie Mattice of Rensselaer Falls and Bonnie Hitsman of Ogdensburg. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
