Lawrence M. Downes Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lawrence M. Downes of Ogdensburg, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 18, 2026 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Downes and Marie Downes (Breen); his wife Ann; and his brother Jerry Downes. He is survived by: his children, Julie Henderson (William) of Ogdensburg and Eric Downes (Crystal) of Great Cacapon; his grandchildren, Amanda Hunter Jr. (Gary), Erika Lee (Blake) and Bryce Downes (Heather); his great grandchildren, Kolton, Caden Hunter, Brooke Logan, Gunner Brandenburg, Haven and Ryder Downes; his stepsons, Mark Pendergrass (Susie), David Pendergrass (Kim) and Matt Pendergrass (Jacque); and his nephews, Jeff, Joe, Paul and Steve Downes.
