He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father George; his daughter Salina Bunk (Mark) of Smethport, PA; his grandchildren, Levi Winship, Sullivan Bunk, Penny Bunk, Elizabeth Bunk and Maddison Bunk; his siblings, Roger Winship of Ogdensburg and Roberta Strait of Little Genesee; his son Phillip Winship; and his siblings, Caryle Winship, Dennis Winship and Georgia Winship. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
